Welcome

The Hygiene Centre is a research group at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine devoted to developing a better understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices which can be used to inform public health policy.

Our mission is to develop and apply knowledge that will help improve hygiene, sanitation and household water treatment worldwide.

We are supported by a variety of international agencies and corporations, including the World Bank, Water and Sanitation Programme, the International Water Association, the UK Department for International Development and Unilever.
